belenalvarez 0 Posted September 15, 2006 Me gusta mucho esta composicion tan sobria. Bien visto Alberto. Link to comment
marco_ruggiero 0 Posted September 16, 2006 And yet a great perspective and framing. A very good image of a landscape that is unknown to many. Well seen commendatore. Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted September 16, 2006 It's true that's this part of Spain is unknown to many, even to spaniards! These terraced fields are in south western Valencia, bordering with Alicante, a rugged, mountainous country with windy roads and plenty of small villages (ancient "alquerias" -rural farms-) which keep their ancient arab names (in this case Salem) or, in others, names such as Benifaraig, Beniatjar, Beniali or Beniganim, all of them coming fom the patronymic of the founding muslim family... Difficult to forget that the muslims settled this part of the world, known as Sharq al Andalus (the orient of Al Andalus), for more than 10 centuries! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Interesting ... with all of the lines moving every which way. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted September 16, 2006 Like Lou Ann said the variation in all the different terraces is fascinating. It looks like an interesting region. Link to comment
Link to comment
Link to comment
nino1 0 Posted September 17, 2006 Alberto, interesting composition, but I really don't like the light and colours here! I think it could work better in bw and, of course, if you had the possibility to shoot in a better hour, with YOUR light. Link to comment
Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted September 17, 2006 Following a Nino Baiano's mail suggestion I attach, for your consideration, a B&W version made with channel mixer Link to comment
Link to comment
Link to comment
