susan stone 0 Posted September 18, 2006 The watercolor filter ads some nice tones to this and I really like the DOF and the many lovely layers of color. It does look "painterly", and isn't that what us photographers are doing.....painting with light. Link to comment
dave_dube 10 Posted September 18, 2006 Thanks Susan! Ya know, many people I do photos for like a slight water color effect and then mounted on canvas, it just looks better on a wall. Placing it on PN for a rating gets a 3/3 or 4/4 so I don't post many. This is the look a client wanted for their cabin although the photo they recieved was about 4 min after this one with more glow in the sky. Link to comment
aramat57 3 Posted January 21, 2008 I love this one, and I also like the watercolor filter. You are right about it lookig good on canvas. Love the contrast of the warmer foreground against the blues and pinks of the distance. Do you think this is tilted just a bit clockwise? Beautiful image, I would give it a 6/6. dave_dube 10 Posted January 21, 2008 Thanks Tammy! No tilt, check out the tree line in the center and the reeds on the right. I know, the lake shore is slopping due to an elevation change. Link to comment
