I'm not sure if this will show my ignorance (because I know nothing about IR photography) ... but I don't like this as well as a lot of the others that you've done. It's the glow about the tree that bothers me. It's almost as if either the sky or the tree was PS'ed in some way, and that the details around the edges of the ends of the branches weren't done closely enough. Please correct me if I am overlooking something ... or if I'm talking about something about which I know nothing (see the first part of my comment....)

Lou Ann, I think you are right, I used some contrast on the old tree to make it come alive. Going to Colorado in 4 days to catch the Fall foliage.

The foreground reeds (or whatever they are) are very good. I tend to agree with Lou Ann about the sloping tree - it doesn't seem to merge into the background quite as it should. But a fine shot despite these quibbles!
