I am questioning the high contrast level. Feel free to be honest, I

am not my images, they are just images. Thanks for commenting :)

I like this one better than the first since it is more playful. I think Abby's (I think that is her name) eyes on your first post look a little strange. By that I mean half way between a blink and open. I like the high contrast BW so no suggestions on the conversion from me. Of course in a perfect world, the mother's hair would not have fallen in front of her face so much and her hand would be a little further down so you could see more of Abby... but that is not reality where this is a moment versus a pose.

Thanks Emily- "Abigail" (close) was so cute! She has a very well defined personality, to say the least. Really feisty :) I like that. I could get lost in the "spark" in her eyes. Her mother is as dark as Abigail is fair. Putting them side by side became a problem. High contrast seemed to be the solution.

I thought this particular image spoke volumes. Mom, in a superior position, child captured & subdued :) Being held gently, but tightly. Face to face. Both intently looking at each other, each with a smile.

Abigail's mother had just undergone cancer surgery. More children, is no longer an option. Abigail's mother (Crystal) wanted to capture their "mother/daughter" bond. Crystal's illness has obviously effected Abigail to be more independent. Hopefully, all will go well with Crystal.

I met Crystal when she was about 16. She was our daughter's best friend. Together they were a real pair. Crystal, dark, our daughter, fair & blonde. Together they thought they could lick the world. They looked so much alike, with exception of their, light/dark complexions, it was really amusing. Both, drop dead gorgeous & exceptionally intelligent. A wonderful mix. They could get into more trouble than most :) Of course, they could get out of trouble faster than most too, using their looks & super sense of humor :) They were a real pair! I don't even want to know all of their escapades. I prefer only to know what I know. Ignorance is sometimes bliss:)

I love the composition, the nose-to-nose pose, and the square cut, Jayme. It all works very nicely for me ~ including the frame and title. Nice work all round. Best regards, Chris
