john graham 0 Posted September 11, 2006 I wondered what was bothering me about this photo for while until I considered the window . The man has a very interesting expression and sense of emotion, but that window seems overpowering, sort of swamping out the impact of his presence. The proportion of the light on the subject does not seem to correspond with the brightness from the window light. However the image has over all a good impact. Kind regards. John Link to comment
sawicki 0 Posted December 15, 2006 The picture was taken in Auschwitz-Birkenau. The man is standing in camp lavatory. And watching the camp from inside. Thank you for all opinions. Link to comment
atkphotoworks 0 Posted December 15, 2006 Pawel, I really like the light in this image. The overall setting is dour, but given the surroundings and the original environment, that's not surprising. I'm amazed that there's even a window. Part of me wonders about cropping the left side out (behind Mr. Miller). Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 15, 2006 There's a lot of emotion here, Pawel, and you've seemed to capture it perfectly. Very well done. Thanks for the visit to my folio as well! :o) OK, I have to stop looking at this one. I'm getting too teary-eyed. Link to comment
