Considering Erwin's special talent is to decompose light and lines, I'd say this is another interesting and well executed example.

I like your managing of lines and shadows, the lines of the shell against the lines of the hand, the spot of light on the center of the image and shadows surrounding it. Misterious, primitive life, and the hand of evolution. Well done Erwin.

Beautiful detail, tone and combination of elements. I just read a comment you posted in Eirik Holm�yvik's portfolio ( the icelandic guy ) about what makes an image work for you. Although my style and presentation are entirely different I think alot of your philosphy rings true. Im glad there are people such as yourself who can put such feelings into written word.
