So, technically speaking, what could be improved? Is there

anything, fundamentally, that could be improved?

To answer your question, Dave, I don't think so given the set up (i.e. focal length/lens.) I like the position of the sapling and its young colours pop crisply against the sky. I was wondering though about a wider angle, nothing dramatic, say 30 - 50 mm -from where you are- to bring more land into the frame left?

Thanks Seven, I do have one like you mention, it may actually be this one and I cropped in tighter. I'll have to check and post.
