Hi Sondra, I would also like to compliment you on your fine composition, plus it is just a plain great scene with the grasses and clouds......Jim

I love lighthouses and Cape Hatteras is one of my favorites! You did a great job of composing this photo and arranging all the elements that are included. this is a very beautiful shot!

I've been here!! It's tough to photograph. Maybe now that I have my 10-22mm, maybe I ought to go back and try again. :-)

I have to say that this doesn't seem to have the crisp detail that your IR shots usually have. Is that on purpose?

The cloud formation is great ... looks like a storm rolling in. And breezy, too. I can feel the sand in my toes!

Sondra, a beautiful shot. I like the foreground grasses, though like Lou Ann, I would have liked to have seen a bit more sharpness there. (It is difficult to say how sharp this is at the size they appear on PN). The clouds are very good too giving a hint as to the lighthouse's purpose.

Foreground grass, cumulus cloud, and lighthouse are nicely crosstalking stylistic elements - a good example for successful IR and balanced composition.

This is an awesome photo, it looks like it should be in a North Carolina Travel Brochure. I grew up in Western NC, but have never made it to the coast. It is on my list of places to see when I start my traveling career...LOL

Your North Carolina folder is a lovely representation of the state. Thanks for putting it out there to share with the rest of the world....Keep up the great work, Kim
