olli.pekonen 0 Posted September 8, 2006 Sorry, but I find this a very standard and a bitdull studio shot of a nice model. I can not understand why it is rated well over 6 in aesthetics. It is nota bad photo, but it is so standard and vanilla, that the scale in the ratings is just amazing. Yes,it is taken with a very big and very expensive camera, but still the photo is not that incredible. Can youplease shed some light to this? Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted September 8, 2006 Richard, ViP thanks for commenting. Olli, I see you have a lot of portraits in your portfolio too. Perhaps others can check out yours while they look at mine and give you their views since the comments here are from them. Or are you asking me to read their minds? Link to comment

olli.pekonen 0 Posted September 8, 2006 Alec - my question is not directed against you in any way. I also like your image, but I can not quite understand the soaring ratings. Sorry that I'm frank - but I try to learn photography, and understand the underlying psychological forces that make people really, really like a picture (that seems to be the statistical truth with this particular image). alecee 0 Posted September 9, 2006 Well Olli all I can say is don't only look at the ratings, the number of hits are also very high - about 54,000 in 3 days for this image. The other H2D39 images I posted also have very good following (See those in my favourite collection folder). Probably the high quality images from this camera is something that interest viewers in PN. You are right about the Hasselblad H2D39 being very expensive and I am fortunate to be endorsed by Hasselblad Singapore to shoot with their cameras. I love it and hope to continue to do it justice. Jayme thanks for your kind comments. Link to comment
