susan stone 0 Posted September 3, 2006 I have to admit that your SHARP racing pictures are what prompted me to buy the 70-200 IS lens, you capture incredible detail with yours....the camera and photographer may have something to do with that. The posture and expression on both the horse and rider really convey the excitement of the moment. Love the "Bald" face on this race horse. Link to comment
namurray 0 Posted September 3, 2006 Hello Sondra, thanks very much for your kind comments. Much appreciated. Best regards, Neil Hello Susan, thanks for looking and commenting on this one. Yes, I do like the 70-200 f2.8 L. It does produce nice, sharp, colourful images. You have the IS version which is even more useful. The IS would have been helpful at the races for panning shots at slow shutter speed. I have to switch to my 100-400mm 4.5-5.6 L IS for panning. I'm sure you will love your new lens Susan. Kind regards, Neil PS Apache Cat is one of my favourite horses. I think he is quite photogenic with his unusual markings. Link to comment
