arond a. 0 Posted September 3, 2006 I like the context of the train in the background. It suggests they may have missed it and may even be hurring to catch it (but probably not). The wouldn't be nearly as effect w/out the setting, which is near picturesque. It's the stuff of postcards (compliment). Not something I see everyday on pnet. Well done. Link to comment
agnieszka_iwasiewicz-wabni 0 Posted January 22, 2007 I've been looking at this photo of yours for a longer while now and I like it, but I find something about it quite disturbing. Maybe it is this "sharpness" that one person commented on already. It looks almost artificial to me. I am actually curious how did you take this shot and if it is not a small collage (which I doubt since it would be tricky to do) or a staged shot? For such a depth of field the shutter speed should be slow enough to smear the movement of the kid's feet, especially that the shadow suggests that it was not a particularly bright place (or maybe it was, and that did the trick?). Overall conclusion - technically flawless, nicely framed, but also lifeless up to some extent. I think what disturbed me is how static actually this photo is, even though it obviously was meant to show some action. Still, I like it. Link to comment
