Imogen Cunningham said a good photographer should be able to take

good photos in his own back yard: Here is my back yard (Pacific

Ocean in distance). Your ratings and critiques are invited and most

welcome. If you rate harshly or very critically, please submit a

helpful and constructive comment/Please share your superior

knowledge to help improve my photography. Thanks! Enjoy! John

Wonderful work here, John. Though it's far from the expected Crosley image. I enjoy the way the foreground silouhette draws me into the image and the background cloud formation sweeps me on through. I can imagine the view of the ocean now.

A minor nitpick but I do wonder whether the image should be rotated a little to the right?

Most enjoyable.

Always keep 'em guessing, is my rule.

Maybe it should have been rotated, or I should have left out the reference to the ocean or blurred it a little, as it is insignificant to the whole photo, as the intent of the photo was the relationship of the pampas grass with the cirrus cloud formations and the colors, not the proximity and/or relationship to the ocean.

I imagine I'll keep trying to exceed my bounds in everything I do.

I took a bird photo yesterday, a magnificent photo of a red-tail hawk, wings in full spread (hung ton, look out! ;-)) )
