Very Cool idea. You are a different thinker. You might consider tilting the image about 1.5 degrees to the right. But I like this shot very much. Cheers.

Leon--I agree the lighthouse is tilting in the photo. I knew someone would comment on this but I didn't know what to do because it REALLY IS leaning (the island is mostly gone and the base of the lighthouse is in the water--they are in the process of trying to stabilize it to preserve it since it's over 100 years old). I couldn't tell if the lean was from my framing or the lighthouse really leaning. It was a toss-up but I left it how it was. You are right though, it may be a bit more pleasing if it was tilted, even if that isn't how it really is.

I can see from your bio and other comments that you fit the description of exactly the kind of user photo.net now needs. Young enthusiast, craving to learn more and ready to help others. You're doing a good job, I like your lighthouse series and think it stands out from your other work, at this moment.

You do need to figure out PS just a little bit, since the XT provides images that can easily be enhanced and take the adjustments quite well (in terms of sharpness, levels etc, as I'm sure you already know).

And since you've got many of your shots 're-decorated', allow me to do the same with this one. :)

D. Munteanu-Thanks SO much for your comments and words of encouragement! I am VERY fond of the manipulations you made to my image! I was just looking at this shot today thinking "it's good but I'd like to see if a bit darker with some more saturation/contrast, etc"--I think you read my mind and created what I was visualizing! I'm working on the photoshop--I've come to realize the value of manipulations on photo.net. I still don't want to do massive changes that don't reflect reality, but I fully appreciate now how it can really enhance images and even recreate what I really saw, which the camera cannot do! Thanks again for the help--any further advice you have to offer on this shot or others will be very well respected and appreciated!

Would you mind telling me exactly what you did to alter my picture like you did? I'm trying to learn more about what is done to change the colors/contrast/etc. of pictures. Thanks!
