Well, if this were mine, Ada, I would have to say "through thicker and thicker," since I seem to be losing the battle of the bulge. I notice from your bio pic that you are not.

This picture is nicely done and has a message. I like it.

Hi everybody! Thanks Cherlyn, Matt and Lannie for your kind comments. I'm glad that at leat some people like my unexpected burst of creativity. I was on the toilet when my eye felt on my belt that was dangling full of patience against the leg of my jeans. I had time enough to ponder about these many years that my belt and I are so close united to each other. We have shared a lot; the good and the bad times, the fat and pover years.

Concerns my weight, you are right Lannie, I have never been over my weight. That is not my merit but only a genetic inheritance. 'Good things comes in small packages' I think they say in English. I hope the saying is right. At any rate I have never been too demanding related to my belt. The only tip I can give you to loose some weight is to stay away from Mac Donalds etc. and to do your daily physical exersices. So don't try to sit too long behind your PC. (I know, I know, that is really difficult for such a PN addicteds like we are:-))))

Wow, that was a long monologue. I think it's time to go the sleep. The sun almost comes up in our regions. 'I work on the night shift' is the excuse I tell people who phone me in vain during the morning hours. My breakfast is my lunch..... A well, perhaps that is the reason.....

Many greetings to you all, Ada:-)

You were up ALL NIGHT, Ada, but that is okay, since the Muse comes to you when it will, quite obviously. Walk around your garden in the darkness, and perhaps even grander and more creative ideas will come to you--and please don't disparage your skills with the Canon 300D as you have in your bio section. You are a master with it. Please just keep the creative ideas coming.

Very nice detail shot; like the fabric you use for your background. Toning is very good here.

BTW, forgot to tell you I LOVE your new self-portrait (or whatever).

I had to buy a new belt myself--old one was too big!

Thanks Lannie for trying to buck me up;-)))

I'm very glad with your appreciation of my picture Spencer. Concerns the title; you can game for anything!

Thank you for kind words Les. The biopic is made by myself and I'm glad that you like it.

I understand that you feel proud about your lost of weight but be careful: variety is the spice of life! So don't throw away your old belt, before you be aware of it you might need it again:)))

I like it. Simple but creative. Using the jeans makes a connection with the photo. I think if you just took the belt it would of not told the whole story

Pnina, who would have ever thought that my constipation could produce you a smile?:-)))

Thanks Richard, your opinion means very much to me.

Hello Dan, nice to see you're back again and thank you very much for your great comment.

Greetings to all of you, Ada:~)

At a first glance one could think of this photo as a mere detail of a belt, but I find it to be quite thought provoking. The lighting, close-up angle, monotone and of course your title, all add to the mysterious mood and makes me wonder of all the background history to this object. On a technical note, I think there are some highlights on the metal that could be toned down a bit to bring out some more detail on it. Warm greetings from a (very) hot place Ada!

Hey Alex, nice to see you and thank you for commenting this picture. I appreciate the tips you gave me. I will try to darken the lightened spots to get more detail.

I like to ask you a favour, Alex and I hope you don't mind. Could you explain to me the content of the first part of your comment? I think my English isn't sufficient enough to understand the essence of what you are trying to tell me. I have studied those lines over and over again but it stays unclear to me what you mean exactly. I can search for the words in my dictonairy but the context is unclear to me. Perhaps just a comma here and there is already enough to help me out of this state of confusion. Thank you for that in advance, Alex! And wow... where are you at this moment? Not in Poland I bet. The autumn has already started a couple of weeks ago in the Northern part of Europe.

Warm greetings to you Alex but try to keep your head cool!;-)))

Hi again Ada, sorry if I didn't make myself clear enough before, my English isn't that good either! I guess what I meant was that for me this photo transmits well the story of an old belt. I started forming my own version of such stories in my head when I first looked at it. Perhaps I'm just too much of a movie like thinker... Yes, I'm not in Poland anymore, for now I came back to my home country Portugal. Let's see to where will the (hot) wind take me next=)

Well Ada, very original and eye catching image.

I love the tone you used, special the sepia/black jeans.

One minor..... if it was mine photo I should change the angle of the subject, as if it come out of the left corner. But it's a great subject and fine title.

Your brother, Wim.
