aepelbacher 0 Posted August 31, 2006 Sarah has a better photo of a different part of this same building. :-) Link to comment

ivan colman 0 Posted August 31, 2006 Smashed by its simplicity ! Sorry that I couldn't be more constuctive but I find this image so rich that I have looked for minutes. (7/7 my first this month) Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted August 31, 2006 Thanks, Vi & Ivan. Ivan, that 7/7 means a LOT coming from you!! :-) Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted August 31, 2006 I like the way the light shines on the two walls, so that the shaded wall appears to be a different color from the wall in the sun. Link to comment
afs760bf 0 Posted August 31, 2006 Very simplistic and very solid. I like the color, and I like the shadows, especially the angular ones on the wall. Nice job. Cheers. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted August 31, 2006 Lou Ann, this is wonderful. I think Digital is really bringing out the best in you. Very Warm Regards, Howard Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted September 1, 2006 Excellent abstract, white wall, type photo from you! I just love this. So different from you. I love the way the shadows work in this image, just throwing things off a bit. Sorry 7-7....good eye. Link to comment
azenall 0 Posted September 1, 2006 I like this composition. Thanks for your comment in my Colour Tower. Regards. Link to comment
will king 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Hi Lou Ann. I'm curious. What's the assignment? Are you taking a photography class? Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Nooooooooo ... I really OUGHT to take a photography class! :-) (See everyone, we get up really early here in Virginia ... to clean up after all of the hurricanes!) LOL!!No, Will ... if you take a look at the previous shot, and also at the previous image in this folder, as well as this photo of Roger's, you'll see that a few of us PN-ers got together in Boston a few weeks ago. Linda Keagle said, "Hey - let's give ourselves the assignment 'Three', and take photos with that theme." So we did. :-) Link to comment
will king 0 Posted September 2, 2006 How cool. So how do you all know each other? You might as well call it a photography class. All four of you are awesome shooters. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Thanks, Will. I "met" the three of those folks here on Photo.net. Linda & Sarah met travelling years ago, and both live in the Boston, MA area. Linda met Roger Keagle here on photo.net and they got married about two years ago. They are in the process of moving to Australia. We had a blast ... and I really learned a LOT from all three of them. You'll see some more evidence of that learing upcoming. :-) Link to comment
will king 0 Posted September 2, 2006 I discovered Roger's work several months ago. He seems like a very nice guy and his photography is awesome. I would'nt mind taking a photography vacation. My dream would be to visit the Pacific Northwest and go shooting with Marc Adamus. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Will you point me out to his work ... pn's directory has about 57 "Mark Adams" listings. :-) I have had the opportunity to meet several photo.net members, had a blast with each of them, and learned a lot from each of them. It's always fun travelling with other photographers. Link to comment
will king 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Lou Ann, actually his last name is Adamus. He is in my opinion the absolute best landscape photographer on this site and any where else. The cool thing is that he's a beliver too.Marc Adamus Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted September 2, 2006 I think that I need to learn to read! :-) Thanks for pointing me out to his stuff ... I'll enjoy browsing his stuff. Landscape is my favorite! :-D Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted September 2, 2006 This is a fascinating shot, Lou Ann! The three posts, the angle of the wall at the third point, the little triangle at the bottom - your numeracy skills are showing. I like how despite its minmalism continued looking reveals more - such as the shadows on the walls. Link to comment
laurentlacoste 0 Posted September 3, 2006 Beautiful abstract feeling, Lou Ann. I really like this picture very, very much. The choice of a subject, composition, framing and colours are all perfect. I love the association of the deep blue and the white ( two of my favourite colours!) Link to comment
lauro1 0 Posted September 3, 2006 Thanks for your comments on my photographs, Lou Ann. This vertical composition is very interesting, and the bricks -which are part of the horizontal contrast, in my opinion are the 'secret' of this shot. Light is beautiful too. Regards. Link to comment
LindaM 2 Posted September 4, 2006 i know for sure now that i have been working too hard. i have been looking at this and thinking it was Sarah's!...i guess knowing that y'all had just been in Boston together and all, and this being so different from what you usually do. i really love this abstract. very cool! sarahunderhill 1 Posted September 4, 2006 Well, it was great to all be together. Four photographers on a mission. It was a blast! But as we found out...we were all together, but our photos were all very different, even working w/ different cameras. lenses, we all have our ways, and we all learned from each other. Four diferent vacations. We all see things in different ways. Of couse, anyone coming to Boston just better let me know!!! (Maybe New Orleans someday.....) Link to comment
