charles_stewart1 0 Posted December 23, 2001 This is a remarkable photo. Some detail as to the context would be nice; in the title would be fine. But it's not necessary because it's a striking image. What's remarkable about it is that often when photographers shoot people of color they try to light the subject so as to bring up more facial detail, but the principal subject is mostly in shadow and the effect is unexpected and unique. You have managed to hold that shadow open enough to show enough detail and it comes out mysterious and compelling. Very nice. Link to comment
babatunde martins 0 Posted December 26, 2001 I will be reprinting this next week this is a proof that has been on the back burner. I like this one also for the look that the subject is giving me. I like playing with natural light and shadow, for this it worked for me, thanks for your opinions. Link to comment

bpm1 0 Posted May 18, 2002 Going thru your shots ... this one grabbed me with its intensity. Very well done, motivating me to get on the street. Can't quite make out what this young guy might be thinking that's what's great about it and the lighting is right on Link to comment

philippe 0 Posted May 20, 2002 What does this boy think? The photo comes close and that's why I like it. I was first not shure if I should like the thight croping of his head or not, but I think it supports the mood. Link to comment

davidmalcolmson 0 Posted December 10, 2002 There is a world of sadness in that young man's expression. It has haunted me since I first saw it. Wonderful image!....Now where have I seen that face before? Link to comment
