I darkened the background a little bit, to make him stand out more.

What do you make of it?

I like the face its good but the halo effect around the hat and shoulders is strange, the greying moustache is a little overbright, maybe a little more ps :-)

Really nice and strong picture, especially the halo around the man suggesting that he is somewhat in a heavenly status. That's my guess. Really nice picture.

Mark, nice shot. The halo is a little distracting to me, but otherwise a great shot.

Mark, very nice image and I agree with the others the background should be left as it is. Dodging and burning makes it unnatural. In fact, I always try to make my images not too sharp as a halo effect will form in the outline of the subject.
