Oh my goodness, you did this ..... extraordinary. Needless to say, this is superlative and I love it. It's frank and bold, but this has nothing to do with the nudity.

...you always make me laugh :o). I think you are among the "VERY-FEW-RARE" who understands "my nude photography" is, after all, "NOT about nudity" ;o).

I have recently been asked if the models in my nude photos are actually "me"?!. I find it's very hard to answer such question. I often wonder when someone feel touched by lyrics of a song or a poem, is it really important if the song/poem come from the creator's own experience?. The models or subjects of my photography, in a way, carry my messages. In this case, "yes", you will find me in all my nude photos...as much as...the rest in my porfolio :o).

I would like to leave a message for others in this photo as well. As a viewer, you may approve or disapprove my photos, and i believe everyone has the right to his/her own convictions. Your point of view is as valid as of the photographer's. With that,I thank you for reading and visiting. Warm regards, Tanya.

P.S: For your curious mind, I am normally VERY lazy to take my own photos-self portrait. Too much running back and forth (since the Cannon D-20 does not have the remote control:o(). There are quite a few who suggest that i should have my own folder of "self" because i have such "beautiful, exotic features" ("Beauty is in the eyes of beholder", i hope you "behold" very long :o)). Well! I guess you have to wait a little longer until i update my new camera, and if i can't find any model to pose for me ;o).

I agree with John..."frank and bold", and also beautiful. I'm a fan and love what you do.

P.S. That running back and forth is a drag, but it's proven worth it! Take care, Ramsey

...for visiting and leaving comments. Fran, what a delight to hear from you again. It makes me feel happy to have a visit of an "old friend". Thanks for following with my work Fran. Do you still plan going to Vietnam in September?. Best wishes for whatever you do. Warm regards, Tanya.

It's about the lines, the composition, the tones. whether its about the nudity, it's not for me to say, but it is not about the beauty. Well done Tanya. Love your work. Outside the norm, and interesting to watch.

...thank you for leaving comments; however, i am not sure what you mean by "it's not about the beauty". I don't know how you define beauty and what era in the history of art that you've indentified yourself with. Beauties come in many forms and shapes to me, and i tend to appreciate a natural beauty that we often see in daily life more. I thank you for sharing your opinion though. Regards, Tanya.

Hi Tanya,

Apologies for being a little random in my explanation. The nudity here is superlative, the balance is the key. My meaning of beauty is the quality of model and image that most harp on with nudes. This exhibits neither. I dont mean this in a derogative fashion, believe me. I am awe struck that you can pull out bare bones of imagery and give it such artistic worth. I take photos for a living, and am seldom given such opportunity. (Not so commercially viable in Tropical North Queensland...red neck Australia)

I dont assign myself a special arena of history to dwell upon with art.

Some days I open my eyes and I see beauty in everything, and somedays I dont. Beauty is owned by the beholder.....IMHO

Thank you David for clarifying. Perhaps, because i am new in this arena-visual art esp. photography that i am not familiar with the languages/styles of describing an artwork. This is when i need clarification to better communicate with my viewers. David, you are right: "Beauty is owned by beholders", and this is why beauties expressed in so many ways whether visually, literaturely or abstractly. My feeling is that: "everyone has the right to their own convictions"; therefore, there is no right or wrong about one's perception about something esp. in art. Clarification about one's expressions is to bridge the gap to help us better understand and appreciate each other. Thank you for taking your time to comment and clarifying again David. Warm regards, Tanya.
