Thank you very much for taking the time to leave comments. Much appreciated. I think this is my favourite of the rodeo portfolio! Greetings from Canada~ Iren

Nice shot, however to me the overall composition would have been stronger if the horse is not in one line with the cow.

Nice detail and exposure, but composition is snapshottish. As noted before, having the steer (its not a cow) in line with the horse is not very interesting. Head-on shots like this often makes it look like the animals have no necks.

I appreciate your time in leaving comments/critiques. Although I agree that to the eye it would be perhaps esthetically more pleasing if it was not all in line, however, the timing for in fact capturing them all in line was, I guess, the final outcome!I was glad to be able to capture it so clearly. I don't use photoshop and I don't have a "great" camera...I am no professional! :o)Thanks again for your input. Cheers, Iren

An older film camera, with autofocus and motor drive for multiple exposures with a good zoom lens is often a better tool for this kind of photography. Unless you spend quite a bit of money, digital cameras in these situations are too slow. My best rodeo pictures so far are still on film.

Thanks for commenting on my photo. This was my first rodeo where I took pictures but I'll keep your suggestion in mind the next time I go to one for photo ops! Cheers, Iren

Thanks...yes, I had to be fast. These cowboys (and accompanying cohorts) don't skip a beat and do not "pose" for Kodak moments, so to speak! :o)Cheers, Iren

Thank you very much Iren, for the answer. This photo is so outstanding that it ispired me to upload a few photos of the Hungarian rodeo. :) Thank you for that as well.

Excellent! Posting your work from the rodeo gave me a different taste of Hungary~ where my roots are from. I went back 14 years ago now and have been longing to return ever since. Beautiful country~ thanks for the trip down memory lane. Szia, Iren
