aepelbacher 0 Posted August 25, 2006 Here's one that I really like, but I think that it won't gather much interest from my photographer friends. I just like the way the light of the evening magic hour makes everything look different ... the rocks here look red, the sky has all sorts of funny colors ... I just enjoy looking at this. But, of course, the composition is rather boring and the water/land ratio is a bit too close to half and half..... What are your thoughts? Link to comment
novastorm 0 Posted August 25, 2006 Hi Lou Ann, I like it. You have great contrast between water, land and sky. Perhaps a boat or person might have helped in terms of interest. But it still a good landscape regardless! All the Best, Nova ~ Link to comment
rkynast 1 Posted August 25, 2006 The light is gorgeous. I have suggested a different crop. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted August 25, 2006 I like your crop, Richard! Thank you for playing with it! :-) Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted August 26, 2006 I like the original crop myself. It's a nice scenery picture - as mentioned, a single additional element of some kind (boat, building, etc.) would have added something. I do like the rocks jutting out into the water and I think it's well balanced. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted August 27, 2006 My thoughts are the same than yours. Now, I think you can certainly improve the contrasts. It seems to be taken by a sunny day and even so, the colours are dull. I am sure that it could have more "peps" by playing on the levels (in being cautious on the sky, which has always to be treated separately). Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted August 29, 2006 The line of the shore leads the eye through the shot well. Link to comment
laurentlacoste 0 Posted September 3, 2006 There's a great light in this one, Lou Ann. A beautiful coast that reminds me a little of a French region called Le Cotentin, in the North of Normandy. A very nice shot! Link to comment
