A night is falling down on Black Mount, Rannoch Moor. Heavy clouds

are flowing from the west. Rain is lashing into my lens - trying to

say : "Go home, intruder". I must say this is one of my favourite

locations in Scotland. Such a wild and remote place. I am amazed of

its beauty every time I'm there. I didn't have much time to take this

shot - as the rain was really tenacious. Quick look to compose the

image, measure the light, apply a proper ND Grad filter, wipe the

glass and shoot. Please see the larger version !.

A very strong picture. I like the choice of the composition, the choice of the dof, and the colours. One words for your work : fantastic. Congrats.

A majestically beautiful place and you've done it Justice Piotr.

Ian F., with the superior dynamic range of film you have the option to use an ND grad or not; with digital it's almost essential, but subtle is best Cheers Ian

I can see why you like this place Piotr. An image that has to be seen large to appreciate the subtleties but I can almost smell the place from your image. I like it alot. As for film and dynamic range, it depends on the film. B&W has much larger range than digital but most slide films have noticeable less dynamic range than dig (lucky to get 5 stops sometimes).

PS: looks like someone's left an tag open above...
