zephyrqueen69 0 Posted August 23, 2006 Not sure wether this should be in Art or Flowers. So I put it in Flowers. I played with some things in my Program and liked this for some reason. The colors in this just jumped out at me. Thanks for looking. Link to comment
barthurk 0 Posted August 23, 2006 I don't usually like manipulated images, but this works. The color and texture is interesting. I suppose a photograph doesn't always have to stay a photograph, it can become the means to digital art. Great work! Link to comment
J. Perez 0 Posted August 24, 2006 Very effective manipulation. Looks like a drawing or watercolor. Cheers, J Link to comment
zephyrqueen69 0 Posted August 24, 2006 Thanks to everyone for all the kind words. I normally don't do to much digital work. I did blacken out the background. Then I started messing around with the flower and just happened to come up with this and liked it. Glad you did too. I have the original in my portfolio. Again, many thanks for stopping and posting a comment. Best Regaurds Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 29, 2006 This really jumped out at me, too! I love it! I love playing in PS, though. I just noticed you're a fairly new member; welcome! You say you are looking forward to learning here...I have learned Soooo much from people here! Some I've learned just from reading threads and looking at images, but mostly I've learned from people who are kind enough to answer my questions and explain their procedures to me...it's a lot of fun! You have a great start with a beautiful portfolio! Link to comment
zephyrqueen69 0 Posted August 29, 2006 Thanks so much, Kim. I'm looking forward to getting Photoshop and a DSLR. I want to be able to improve on the quality of my photos but my Digital is limited on it's capabilities since I can NOT change lenses. I can add with an adapter but it's a pain in the BUTT! Plus at a lower pixel rate, I'd rather just upgrade to a better quality camera. One with a better sensor and one with a faster shutter. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 30, 2006 I was intimidated by the DSLR's, so I moved up to a Canon S2IS a year ago...it's a lot of fun, but I still plan to get the DSLR eventually. Link to comment
