Hi Rafik, thanks for stopping by. Yes, 80-400 VR captures birds in flight (even like terns which are really fast flyers) but it's very difficult to use due to the awefully slow focusing speed. Th secret to capture a shot like this is not totally on the lens though, it's mainly on the camera settings and knowing the habit of the bird.
