alecee 0 Posted August 23, 2006 This is a sepia tone version (Completely different image) of the colored version submitted earlier last week. Which is better? Link to comment
atkphotoworks 0 Posted August 23, 2006 Alec, I really like the sepia rendition, although I like the expression of the young monk on the far right's expression as seen in the colour version better. Either way, both versions work well. Link to comment
gabi_raoul 0 Posted August 23, 2006 Marvellous light and tone in this one, beautiful composition! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted August 23, 2006 Alec, both versions work well because the composition is so good, but my favorite is the colored one ;-)) Link to comment
c brake 0 Posted August 24, 2006 Hi, Alec. I like both of them also, but I think I like the colored one better. It is more dynamic, has better contrast(new vs. old, light vs. dark, youth vs. antiquity, etc.) and conveys the idea of life and energy a little better. Link to comment

rajeevthomas 1 Posted August 26, 2006 Alec, my friend, this is well seen, composed so well that it looks like National Geographic moment in Alec's style... :) , I like the subject really very much, I cannot imagine the place in my mind, I am sure it was amazing...great lighting too Alec...all of it well captured...regards, Rajeev. alecee 0 Posted August 26, 2006 Thanks guys appreciate your comments and visit. Rajeev, if you went there you might have missed this place. Nothing fanciful really, it's a very old wooden and zinc roof structure built on stilts. This is the 2nd level as the ground is quite distracting and I omitted it. Here's an exterior shot. Jack McRitchie 150 Posted August 27, 2006 An amazing shot, Alec, perfectly exposed and timeless. One of your best, I think. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted August 27, 2006 Alec, I love this shot! Very interesting and the sepia works well. Your cropping was a good choice as I think showing more of the building would detract from the figures within. Link to comment
