I like the diagonal shadow segregation. I also like the contrast of half to full face, red to white lips, black to blank eyes. I think this is a alluring capture.

Intriguing the way the eye and mouth of the two masks are coloured. A very ingenious shot, Pnina, with the half face and whole face and the shadow all combining to make a strong image. Brilliant!

I wondered how would it look a bit cropped. And I did it. I like the eye-lips contrast. Very fine picture.

WE wear the mask that grins and lies, It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,This debt we pay to human guile; With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,And mouth with myriad subtleties.

Why should the world be over-wise,In counting all our tears and sighs? Nay, let them only see us, while we wear the mask.

We smile, but, O great Christ, our cries to thee from tortured souls arise. We sing, but oh the clay is vile beneath our feet, and long the mile; But let the world dream otherwise, We wear the mask!

This is overpowering and an artistic tribute to the power of simplicity. It simply blows me away. Oh, I prefer the original crop; it has more mystery and is more unsettling.

I love masks, hence I love this picture. well captured with the light! the cropped version is also a possibility, but I prefer this one, 'cause I like asymmetry.

I like the diagonal of shadow (or light, depending on how you look at it) that adds even more interest to this intriguing shot. Well done!

Pnina, You have a perfect eye for seeing your photographs. I might add that the exposure is very possibly perfect as well......Jim
