It's a really beautiful capture, Alec. Like Lou Ann said, beautiful lighting and colors. Where are the people that attend all these temples? I'm surprised to see so many out in the countryside where seemingly there is little population.

Thanks guys, glad you like it as much as I do. This was taken on top of a very high stupa overlooking the vaste area. Many tours stop here during dusk to catch the light as it is off season for hot air balloons. Well, at least we got to save US$350 for a balloon trip and used it to travel around Myanmar by domestic flights. Not a bad choice I must say instead of being stuck only in Yangon.

 

This trip is even more interesting then my visit to Cambodia. I guess the seclusion and visa restrictions makes it more difficult to access then in most other countries.

Alec, Bagan is a unique place to visit as is all Burma, or Myanmar as it is called nowadays. very nice view of the 4000 stupas scatters all over the vally. Beautiful.

This is perfetct as it is. What a wonderful view, how the light from the setting sun falls on each stupa, covering the wide expance of land. You sure have a wonderful & fruitful trip.
