jmoody 0 Posted August 16, 2006 I'll have what she's having! :-) This should almost be posted in the "nudes" category Nice black and white, love the inclusion of the "spectators" and their enjoyment of the performance. Good work Link to comment
jongaus 0 Posted August 16, 2006 A good capture! However, I don't agree that the other spectators add to the motif. Their faces indicate that she is acting, playing a sort of theatre for her company. If you remove the other persons, the scene becomes more 'real', and opens up for the viewer's imagination to a greater extent. I would suggest to remove all distracting element, and focus on the lady only, see attached suggestion. I like the shot however, and the use of b/w works very well. Link to comment
glabarca 0 Posted August 16, 2006 I agree with Jon. I know you dont like croppings but this photo gains so much by cropping it as Jon suggested. Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted August 16, 2006 Sorry to butt in again, but I think it's mainly a question of "which" photo you're trying to present. The original has a different context and gives us the vibe of a wedding or a group of friends out for a meal... there is humor, comraderie (sp), playfullness, something to celebrate. The crop (equally powerful and possible, that's for sure) is just something totally different (sensuality, pure pleasure-filled emotion, eroticism through food (9 1/2 weeks?). For me, one's not more correct or more pleasing than the other...they're just different Link to comment
mauricio alcaraz carbia 0 Posted August 16, 2006 A mi, definitivamente, me gusta mas el contexto original. De otra forma, pareceria mas anuncio de "Nestle". Por ejemplo, la sonrisa de la mujer hasta la izquierda, a mi juicio, es esencial. ;O) Link to comment
charodiez 0 Posted August 17, 2006 No crop please... I prefer the original version, though I am sure that the cropped version could easily reach the TRP... ; ) Link to comment
luisarguelles 0 Posted August 17, 2006 Jeff, I enterely agree with you. Here I tried to capture the great ambience at the party. In any case, I've spoken to Cova and she has agreed for a photographic session. Watch out for a future portfolio :) Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted August 17, 2006 The crop is another photo, entirely. I keep with the original! Link to comment
Link to comment
jongaus 0 Posted August 18, 2006 I agree that the cropped and the original version are two different photos. In my opinion, the uncropped version is more private. I fully respect Luis' intention of sticking to the uncropped version. The shot is excellent in both ways! Link to comment
josebayon 0 Posted August 20, 2006 Eso es lo que yo llamo disfrutar de una helado. Yo veo bien a la gente que esta junto a ella. Quizas si quitaria un poco de espacio por arriba, ya que me parece que hay demasiado. Un saludo Link to comment
nino1 0 Posted August 27, 2006 I agree with the main comments...the cropped version is another photo, I prefer the original one. Great moment taken! Link to comment
susanbilbao 0 Posted August 27, 2006 Me parece divertidisima.... Esa chica promete, Luis!! Link to comment
manuelbayo1 0 Posted September 6, 2006 I agree the atmosphere really makes the photo and the suggested crop lose it; however, people in the left are mere spectators that do not make any substantial contribution and are rather distracting. I would suggest a slight cropp on the left. Nice photo! Link to comment
