I am looking to improve my technique to include photos in my web site.

This carpet is not a good background for such a precise instrument. Black or dark grey would make a big difference. Also the arrangement with the enveloppe and stuff is not supportive for a quality image. Hope this helps. Karl

I need to find something more fitting for a B/G. The paper was a proof target for the customer showing that it will do what he wanted at the distance he wanted it. I'll have to find something better for that too.

For work like this, check out some back issues of the NRA Rifelman magazine, there are wonderful examples for you to learn from. The direction of your lighting makes shadows that don't help the contours of the pistol stand out well. Paul

Great idea and is one area I'm looking at making the shots more artistic and less of an afterthought. Now with my 2401a and having it at hand I will be able to work toward having more consistant lighting source to deal with.
