A strong interesting composition. The cropping of the second version makes it a bit more intrigiung. I can see this photo hanging on my wall, without getting bored.

I am torn between the two versions but find myself veering towards the second closeer cropped version. This is possibly my favourite so far and am looking to see more in this series.

Because we are all different we see different things and feed different things. But the key word is feel, the emotion, the ability to represent, that is the art. There is no greater happiness than to be clear sighted and to know this miracle when it happens.Pnina, I found this in you.

This is a lovely abstract. The blues against the black are most striking. I assume that you took many shots and chose this as the best?

Jeff, thanks, I was photographing a lot, and have all sorts of images. Of course I upload those that I think are the best I have ;-))

I must admit, being an uncultured slob, I haven't been in to some of your dance compositions, but these are really fantastic. I could go on about the numerous things I see in these shapes, but that might contaminate it for others... well, that's definitely a Whirling Dervish on the left :-)

Between the two... mmm. Difficult to compare because they're so different. In the second version, the rythmn is continuous, like notes on sheet music, and the shapes remind me more of a flower than people. I may prefer the first, just because the rythmn is contained within the blackness, its more internalised. Definite shades of Picasso in the 'sitting' figure on the right.

I'm not sure how many dancers are in this, maybe just one with ribbons? But I see a central figure, who looks female, being torn between two others. A love triangle?

Stephen, thanks,What I like in your comment is what the image did to YOUR imagination ;-)) if it aroused yours to such different figures like a Darwish and Picasso... I really don't remember how many dancers were participating in it I think it was 3, but I will not swear of it. In general it is not a narrative in the regular classics sense, but figures in different situation. Some I photographed in full and some in parts, catching the movement in the right moment (for me...).

I love this series, but this is my favorite...the blue is just eyecatching! I prefer the second version, though. I would like to see a little more room at the top of this first version. In the second, I see a gentle flow...soothing, entrancing...I wouldn't take my eyes away. In the first version, it feels slightly more frantic or chaotic to me...also appealing, but I think the second speaks to my heart...romance, sweetness...

I think I'm babbling now...I'd better stop! (-:

Pnina, Sorry to spoil the consensus that was taking us toward favouring the second version but this first one is my personal favourite. To me it simply looks more complete, a stand-alone, if you will. (perhaps I'd think differently had I seen these two versions in isolation) Anyway, always a pleasure to look into your folder to see what visual treats are awaiting there. (never a disappointment) Best, LM.
