In a recent trip to the California Sierras in early August, a natural

snow cave was discovered which was created by natural seasonal run-

off. Debating the risk of a collapse, a final decision was made to

venture in. This cave was approximately 200 feet long, approximately

20-30 feet wide and about 6-8 feet tall. The colors in the ceiling of

this snow cave are natural; I am assuming the red color is from the

seeds and/or sediment; and, the blue areas are thin areas with sky

illumination. This experience was simply an enjoyable and unexpected

delight.

Very well done shot! I've been in one of these and this is really how they look--wonderful job capturing it! I love the colors and shapes.
