Personally, I think theres too much going on at the top of this frame that doesn't really contribute to the shot- the trees and the bright background are elements that are there in real life, but I think the water is what you were really portraying here. I would suggest a tighter crop, and if you're reshooting this I would try to give more attention and emphasis to the water flow itself, including the background trees as an afterthought if at all. I hope this is helpful, I see where you're going here but there's just not much oomph in this composition. Good luck.
