kslonaker 0 Posted August 10, 2006 I have more of the bench in the original, but wanted it to be very subtle in the background. Studio lights and black background. Comments welcome, even if you don't like kittens! Link to comment
giuseppe_miriello1 0 Posted August 10, 2006 very nice kim... i see you have found a willing model for your shots :-)... i like the image becouse of the very natural and relaxed pose of the kitty... generally when shooting this subjects we tend to emphatize the "sweetness" of our little friends, but in this one the cat looks sophisticated - quite royal - and still very relaxed. kslonaker 0 Posted August 11, 2006 Thanks, everyone. My photogenic kitty goes to a new home tomorrow. :( Already have two outdoor cats and two dogs, but I sure hate to see this one go. It's to a good home, though, and she will have lots of attention. Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted August 11, 2006 How did you get here to sit still? And who will pose for you now? I really like this one, but is there the slightest of tilts down to the left? Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted August 11, 2006 You play with her for about an hour and a half, then she will sit still for a few minutes (make that seconds!). About the tilt, it does look tilted at the bottom, but not the top. Could be the bench is wonky; it's a doll-size park bench and I didn't pay a whole lot for it. I guess I'll bring my dogs in next to be models - they'll need a good bath first! Link to comment
rafikrkamel 1 Posted August 11, 2006 Hi kim, very nice lighting used here, welldone, RK! Link to comment
andrea allison 0 Posted August 11, 2006 Wonderful shot kim. The bench is a fantastic idea, just the right size for the cute little model. Your lighting is perfect. On my monitor the white on her, highlights her cute little face. I would love to take her home, but I have 3 cats all ready. So glad to hear she has a home to go.. Regards Andrea Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted August 12, 2006 "Could be the bench is wonky; it's a doll-size park bench " ....... Whewww - glad you told me - I thought this was a *Huge* kitten ... ! *wonky* ... ? ... Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted August 12, 2006 Ken, you sound like my husband! I swear "wonky" IS a word; I've heard many (Canadian) people use it. It's those long winters and you have to think of some kind of entertainment - word invention is a popular past-time. Although, come to think of it, don't we have a president in the US who likes to do the same thing??? Thanks for visiting, everyone. Link to comment
lbattjes 0 Posted August 12, 2006 This is great! Looks like you're getting the hang of the studio lighting. The bench is just purrrfect (ha) for this little guy! And, yes...."wonky" is a great word! I use it all the time :) Now how about "hork"..as in "this is so cute I should hork it and use it as my screensaver!" :P Leslie Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted August 12, 2006 "Hork" is a new one on me, Leslie. Go ahead and hork it if you want! :) Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted August 13, 2006 Just a little C&W song I wrote a few years back - you might remember it ... All seriousness aside - the Kitten pic I attached is the new addition my girls brought home - and looks remarkably like the kitten you have here - the *M* on the forehead etc. - Hmmmm - another Kimilarity ? kslonaker 0 Posted August 13, 2006 I wondered why you were posting that one, Ken! This little one is quite fluffy, though, and yours looks more short-haired like my wild kitty, Cleo. But the markings are very similar. This one was my favorite; I was surprised she found a home last of the three. (Has your song been in the Top Ten yet - I don't seem to recognize it??) kslonaker 0 Posted October 17, 2007 Thanks, Madara. It's funny - I just put this shot on my desktop at work yesterday! It's an older shot, but one of my favorites. Link to comment
