These are such incredible mountains and glaciers, Dennis. I wish I could see them. I lived in Ecuador for a while, but I never saw this much snow and ice, even at 19,000 feet. Plus, the tree line is perhaps around 13,000 to 14,000 feet due to the latitude. I never saw the highest mountain in the country, Chimborazo, which is about as high as Denali, but I am told nowhere as fearsome because of weather differences. Further south in Argentina and Chile is another story, of course.
