Could you show us the image with the original background, please? To me it looks like a cardboard cut out and extremely unreal. Definitely, not great PS work. But the detail on the bird is promising and that's why I'd like to see it in more natural setting.

Sorry Birte but I agree completely with the last comment. The shadows and lighting on the bird just do not realistically relate to the background and the time setting. I prefer the realistic images in your portfolio rather than the latter Photoshop efforts.
