regis 0 Posted August 8, 2006 Another shot from my "Lost World" serie. The same place (The Old Man of Storr), the same time (4:45 am). Technical info : Canon EOS 20D + Canon EF-S 10-22mm @10mm, f/10, HDR technique : t=1s, 1/2s, 1/15s, 1/60s. Large version highly recommended. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted August 8, 2006 Maybe the best shot of the series so far. I love the vertical format, but the width of the proportions makes it almost square. That works so well with the rocks. You caught great detail in the rocks, grass, and that fabulous sky!! Link to comment
tobys bits 0 Posted August 8, 2006 Really beautiful. I agree that the portrait format makes this image very striking and the composition as a whole is great. Wonderful sky also. Congrats. Link to comment

michaelsaird 0 Posted June 1, 2007 Piotr This is a great shot - a very original composition of an area which is heavily photographed....and...unlike many photos on this site, it doesn't look manipulated. I tried giving you a 7/7 but for some reason I can't rate you at the moment....will try later. Great work. Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted November 17, 2007 Perhaps the best HDR composition I have seen. While it is obvious to a photographer that HDR was used because of the complexities of this scene, a laymen probably would not notice. You have used the technique successfully, yet there is still good contrast, which is often lacking in poorly utilized HDR. Many times HDR will render a suspect glow around edges, but none of that here. No doubt, the rocks can't move so aligning the different exposures was a piece of cake, yet technique still requires the camera to remain stationary and the aperture to remain constant, a trick in its own right. Fantastic is a proper description of this!! Link to comment
