Look closely first please, and please consider that 'surreal' is a

concept, then let me know what you think. Your ratings are then

invited and most welcome. If you rate harshly or very critically,

please submit a helpful and constructive comment/Please share your

superior knowledge to help improve my photography. Thanks! Enjoy!

The posting of this photo was what in American football one calls a 'Hail Mary' pass -- an attempt, against all odds, it appears, to make a score when things don't look so promising.

Who would think a photo of a little girl helping another girl take a fountain drink, and a passing person, ducking to avoid being photographed but appearing as a blur, would be judged somewhat worthy by raters (perhaps my introduction/caption helped somewhat with its emphasis on the 'surreal').

For this photo is somewhat 'surreal', and I like it--the original capture had greater boundaries/borders which were cropped out, but there were people's body parts in the borders, and I would have had to engage in some cloning to make their body portions disappear so I took the easy way out. It was a busy walkway and the little girl only held her sister up for a moment, as people moved by. It would also have posted well with the body parts cloned out, I think.

This was pleasing on the viewfinder, so I thought I'd give it a try, but the 'words' were illegible until posted, and they help give it emphasis, as you've noted.

I'm pleased to see you here; and look forward to when you get your DSLR (assuming you haven't) -- you'll shoot tons and purchasing hard drives will become a major part of your life (as it has mine).

(Be sure to burn double copies of DVDs for each download -- or set of downloads -- your digital negatives -- then store them in separate, secure places, to avoid against disaster in one place.)

Merci, mon ami, pour avoir visite mon photo ici et pour votre amitie (did I get my French right, minus the accents, which do not appear on my keyboard?)
