tanyatruong 0 Posted August 5, 2006 ...another view.... My spontaneous moment capturing graceful spirit of a beauty. Thanks for your time. Warm regards, Tanya. Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted August 5, 2006 There's a real Modigliani feel to the colors and comp here, beautifully transposed to and captured in the photographic medium. The background perfectly complements the model. Great shot. Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted August 6, 2006 ...for leaving comments. Mark, i am actually not familiar much with famous European artists/photographers (i assume he/she is/was a famous European). At this time in my life, my final work is what i connect to most, so i am flattered to hear that it has a resemblance of a famous person. I will definitely read about him/her. Warm regards, Tanya. jonathancharlesphoto 0 Posted September 29, 2006 Really nicely balanced composition and natural pose. I agree with Mark that it reminds me of Modigliani's colours - eg the one I've attached. He is one of my favorite painters and his tragic life story is a classic for European artists and inspiration for all the wannabes who like to think of themselves in that role - well worth reading about (but not to live!).Best wishes, Jonathan Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted October 1, 2006 Thank you for sharing your thought and the painting Jonathan. I've read about Modigliani, and in fact, what a tragic life that could be. It seems like there's always a curse going along with a great talent. The attached painting reminds me of "Olympia, 1863" by Eduouard Manet. What i like about the impressionists is that there is something more than a vague dream of Beauty. Just a few simple strokes of colors and light, they can penetrate thruogh our subconsciousness beyond our mere vision. Thanks for sharing and visiting Jonathan. Warm regards, Tanya. Link to comment
