Wildebeests migration

taken at break of dawn from hot air balloon in Masaimara, Kenya using

the Canon 20D with 70-300IS lens at 300mm; f5.6; ISO 800; 1/30 sec

exposure.

A different and original image of the wildebeest migration which is always appreciated. Well done!

the noise (like a jet engine!) from the burner of the hot air balloon sent them scattering every time it goes off. Otherwise they'd just be standing or sleeping at that hour of the day (6 am), but I like the effect.

I think the effect is very appropriate, the motion in the photo and some of the slight blurring captures the spirit if their epic migrations better than without it. The colors and saturation are also fitting. Very well done.

The blur produced at 1/30sec really makes this photograph for me. I like the composition with the herd moving diagonally up the frame. Very good. Regards, Neil
