Final Bend

Sling ye swift thine arrows and barbs; my head is thick, but so is my skin.

I stand in faith with my pic as my shield

I know in my heart it hath no flaw

but never the less, I throw it out into the field

to see per chance if it will draw

suggestions and questions, comments and lessons,

or even quibbles from the critiqueing crowd

If you find it boring, if you think it's trite,

whatever the reason, then utter (uhm, well... type) it loud.

My gaze is guided by the the light

that starts in the corner and follows the rail.

It's kept in the frame by the dark of the track

along to the left where it meets the first team

and then to my pleasure it's met with a whack

of colour and splendor that surely must seem

to be put there divinely, just for my use.

And then as my eyes follow surely in trust

the tones grow dark for depth and containment.

Coming back out, we notice the dust

defining the motion for pure entertainment.

That's why I like it, all comments are welcome.

But please heed my plead; don't rate by request.

I've poorly but surely rhymed up this lick

but only for fun, not trying to be best.

And if they were poor, I'ld be cut to the quick.
