Hello Baldur, this is a beautiful and atypical church. You captured it in good light and from a well chosen angle. The sky is interesting, as usual. Best wishes. Peter

This is very interesting work, I like that blue sky( that has been established as your trade mark) composed within image...and you know what..I began to be Canon FD fan....never could say for myself as I was born with old Zeiss and Leica glasses....also loved Nikon...but find myself bying Canon FD cameras and glasses....funny..:-))

When I discovered the church in this beautiful light, I felt it like a big animal from the past. Therfore "Sfinx" came into my mind. Greetings, Baldur

thank you for link, know I now what that virus mean, I was infected last year when a friend of mine gave me old Canon FTQL in pristine condition with FL 55 f1.2, lens which immediteley becomes mine beloved....I have couple of leicas and zeiss lenses..but this FL 55 f1.2, is something very special, i do not want to say that it is better then leica , just it is a special lens...awesome...

the pleasure was mine. We are clearly together in this as many other good people.

This old equipment has a unique style where charming construction is one part of it. I also do have this same camera but insted the 55, I do have the New FD 50mm f/1.2L which is both rich of color and sharp. The New FD 85mm f/1.2L is also a great lens and of course the New FD 135mm f/2.0, the none "L" which is so great, that it should have been an "L" lens ! and so on and on. Best regards, Baldur

Many thanks for your visit and comment. I think this church is unlike any other church I have seen here in Iceland. I have mostly been interested for the older and smaller churhes who are basically made of wood, with some exceptions. Because of some connection with the Sfinx in Egypt (in my mind) and with this beautiful light, I decided to capture it. Best regards, Baldur

A.K. Sircar, many thanks for your kind comment and for correcting me about the title. I made a mistake and used the Icelandic version as we write the name. Many thanks again. Best regards, Baldur

Baldur, you have waited for the right light for this shot. The building glows in the sunlight and the clouds while dramtic do not overshadow it.
