This is beautiful... great composition, subject and post work. I especially like that it has three basic colors and the are very complimentary.

Very professional perspective with a great blur filter. Colors are also calm and distributed innovatively. I do enjoy the nice sunlights along the aged walls. A creative shot Lucy.

Of the series so far, I'm liking this one best. Great combination of a good composition, strong colours, and a soft, dreamy look.

I really like how you've composed the shot--really strong leading lines. Also, this is a great subject: was it really unfinished or is it in ruins? I'm less thrilled about the PS work. I'd try photographing this again, from the same spot, when there's less contrast in the scene (light more balanced between sky and building).

Thanks for your comments, yes this really was unfinished. "Construction of the church started in the 1870s. The magnificent Gothic structure was meant to be a replacement for St. Peter?s Church. Following a series of problems, including parish infighting, financial difficulties and a damaging storm, it was abandoned on the eve of its completion. Today, the picturesque ruins are a protected historic monument and part of the St. George's World Heritage Site."-The Bermuda National Trust

In fact I have tried this composition at various times during the day, all have their own atmosphere. The warm light here is due to the sunset behind me. The site is about 1/2hr away from me, so once there was a terrific sunset I couldn't rush over to take the photo. Every chosen evening of mine the empty sky had already turned grey and bleached. Maybe I will have another chance sometime. THanks for taking a look.

I think I remember your very 1st photo submitted, it was the 2 bears? Well, since then you have made tremendous progress. This image is proof thereof. Although I'm not big on PS, you kept it realistic, but the strenght of this image lies in the lines of the structure. Well done. JH

The composition and treatment makes this really succeed in the dreamy department. This has a very tranquil feeling. Beautiful lighting and just the right amount of detail in the structure. What a great place this would be for doing bridal portraits!

Best regards,

Tammy
