corbin 0 Posted July 28, 2006 Nice B&W tones, but I think I would crop on the right, to remove at least some of the blank space above the traps. The shed with all the lines - horizontal, vertical and diagonal - is the most interesting part of the image. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted July 28, 2006 Claude, thanks for the cropping idea. I'm not sure if I like it better, though this cropped version is a more traditional composition. The original version is a bit ungainly. Link to comment
corbin 0 Posted July 28, 2006 Well, now that I see both, I tend to like the original better - seems more open. Nice try anyway, that's the whole idea of PN, isn't it? Anybody else out there to give an opinion? Link to comment
afs760bf 0 Posted July 31, 2006 Hi, Robert, I like your original version of this. Being originally from Maine, this is not exactly unfamiliar scenery. I like the blank space here, because it allows the eye to follow the diagonal of the stairs, and then the diagonal of the of the roofs out to the pots. Nice shadows here, and the muted tones do very well. Congratulations. Best Regards, Barry Link to comment
