Rip Torn obliges

Actor and fly-fisherman Rip Torn autographs the hat of an obviously

pleased fan--who also happens to be a New York State conservation

officer--on the opening day of New York's trout season near legendary

Junction Pool in the Catskill Mountains. Torn had just been

interviewed by Sabrina Artel, at left, for her "Trailer Talk" radio

show, which runs on public radio in the Catskills. The officer said

he admired Torn for both his acting and his involvement in conservation.
