kahkityoong 0 Posted July 25, 2006 Congratulations on your last 2 uploads. They complement your portfolio well and seem different in style to your usual work. This scene combines elements often seen in separate landscapes : the flowing stream with slow shutter and diffracted sunrays passing through foliage. You have combined the two masterfully. In fact I would be tempted to replace your Oregan rainforest scene (I think the weakest in this gallery) with this shot. Link to comment
afs760bf 0 Posted July 25, 2006 Very well done. Colors are somewhat muted but add to the mystery. Can't think of a thing to complain about. Congratulations. Link to comment
mike schramm 0 Posted July 26, 2006 Great shot. Wish I'd taken it myself! What was your exposure and what did you meter on? Link to comment
distantvoice 0 Posted July 27, 2006 Marc, yes this was a magic moment and you captured it very well. You know my reservations concerning your defining shot philosophy but these recent photos are your best arguments. It is a piece of art without any question, light is simply beautiful. I am enchanted by the mood of this photo, it evokes the atmosphere of the late afternoon in the forest at once. I wish to be in your photograph now and warm my face in these last sunbeams. I wish to hear the stream and the birds. Thank you for sharing this moment with us. Link to comment

doug bowles 0 Posted July 30, 2006 Mark, your ability to capture the depth of colour in our natural environment continues to humble me. I'd love to see you shoot the Southeast Utah National Parks. Link to comment
