I went to death valley last year,not as lucky as you were with the weather. Death Valley has its own special beauty, thats for sure!

With some color correction, this will be a great image. How did you get the lightning? Were you using some triggers? Great shot

There was a big storm at Death Valley and lightning was very difficult to capture I was just lucky to get it by pressing a shutter release on camera in the right time. There is no color correction on the sky, it was some dramatic and very dark blue. Shooting storm in Death Valley was my greatest landscape experience and crossing the sand dunes all the way was just amazing will post some dunes images later on. Did you know about a 217km run (135miles) starting at Bad Water lake in Death Valley www.badwater.com ?

Fantastic light, perfectly captured. Reminds me a lot of the work of Galen Rowell but with the tones reversed upside down, where the high ground is in warm light but the bottom in cool bluish tones. Congratulations on one of the finest images I have seen of this area.

One of my favorite photograph from Death Valley. There was a really challenging weather and lightning, wind storm. I love this king of atmosphere and display of the elements. This photo is displayed on my first exhibition in Bratislava, Slovakia. Thanks for the comments.
