C.H., Thanks for stopping by. To my knowledge the Adirondack and Algonquin are two separate parks, the first in New York state and the latter in central Ontario. This shot was taken in Ontario within a couple of hundred yards of the highway. There is so much subject matter available that the trick is to isolate a small detail and then to compose interestingly. I hope I've done that. Best, LM.

Yes, you did just fine. I was speaking in reference to the 2nd highest mtn. in N.Y. named Algonquin, which is part of the MacIntyre Range in the High Peaks of the Adirondacks. Canadians love coming down to hike in this pristine country. God knows I've met my share of them on the trail.

C.H., I've met bears and moose on the trail in Algonquin Park but I must admit that your experience of meeting Canadians would be the scarier event. :-) Best, LM.

You really know your composition! Finding a composition in the chaotic jumble of boughs and logs takes a keen eye. The big log leads the eye to the brown clump located nicely at the mid left third. Good colours with a nice balance of not to many splashes of red in the largely green environment.

Greg, As apparent here, first light, the water is so still as to make for perfect mirror conditions. Algonquin Park, first AM, Hog Heaven! Best, LM.
