I really like this. The sculptures themselves evoke an otherworldly, sad feeling and you have captured it brilliantly.

MOre information please! Is this a sort of art exhibition?? I first thought was that these figures were emaciated penguins. What is the real story? Nice lighting, though I feel that the figures should have been with heads lifted to the light and in a line leading to the light of the tunnel. I'm not sure how much control you had in this situation.

Thank you all for your comments. Here is some additional information about this photo: I shot it yesterday in the Ice Pavillon of Alalin above Sass Fee in Switzerland. The Ice Pavillon is a system of man-made tunnels and caves deep inside the glacier. The figures in the photo are part of an artistic composition made in one of the rooms of the cave. Unfortunately I could not find the name of the artist who created the room.

The title of the photo is not from the artist. It is my own interpretation. The figures move towards the unknown dark future as so many do these days... Karl

hail 2 the artist who created this & hail 2 the artist who photographed this!!!! a great moment in swiss visual arts. the work is ageless, has no boundries & silently comments on situations that humanity suffers. ice, the cold merciless ice & helpless humanity against each other. awesome impact. regards!
