thiszme 0 Posted July 21, 2006 Was at the Lake taking Pics of the city skyline when I saw this Blue Heron. I actually thought twice about even trying to get the shot. I knew it would be a long exposure and if he moved even a little total Blurrrrr. But Herons are usually very still while on the hunt. So I took the shot. I did not use a flash. Set for 3sec. f8 High Sodium Lighting I left the WB on auto. Any and All comments and critiques are welcome. Thank you. JEffery Link to comment
lee guthrie 0 Posted July 21, 2006 Amazingly good for those conditions. Amazingly good even if the conditions for shooting were optimum. Good job Jeffery. Link to comment
thiszme 0 Posted July 22, 2006 First thanks to all of you for looking and commenting. Anthony I did not meter the shot well not like I think you are talking about. But a few minutes earlier I was shooting the trees you see in the shot behind the Heron. So I had taken several shots making changes to what I saw in the preview screen on the back of the camera. I don't fully trust what I see in the preview because it is never true but that is all I trully had. I wish I could have given you a better answer but luck played into this one. Thanks for looking.
