Impressive shot from an impressive building agianst an impressive background, Tony. It's really wonderfully situated along the water. I'm very surprised that this villa is dated Anno 1700. It has such an austere style of architecture that it looks actually timeless. With your introduction you have made me really curious to what is inside. It wouldn't surprise me if you have taken photo's of the rich interior.

 

I think it's a pity that the sunlight was so sharp at the moment you took this shot. I think that the details of the decorations on the house front would stand out better when the light was less strong. Nevertheless a nice picture with an interesting (his)story.
