Extra vigneting gives more dramatic presentation. And, of course B%W presents the world they (mother & child) live in. Really good photo. 6/7.

First af all, thanks a lot for your support and comments.

And I have to say this image is very strong IMO, absolutly fantastic.

How did you take it, I mean are they friends or family?

Very powerful!

I really like this. The other one is also great, but this one has more room, showing more of the women, her arm, her hand...this one show a little more of the person and works! Love it!

Oh yes, very nicely taken. The mother with 'hidden' face & the child's openly shown. A strong impressive image.

First, thank you for sharing this photo with us..

Good subject, and good creativity..

But I think the sky looks somewhat boring..and these people are in the center of the photo. It makes vision centered on these two people...and..and that's it..

I think this is a good subject, but i believe U can give us more..

Kaushik, a good example of a culture that still oppresses the woiman's right to show her face.A strong image of contrast, and hard to accept at the 21st centurt.

Per the comments above, I like the background. The slight detail pattern and repition set against the subjects is delicate and offset. I don't think you need the showdowing in the top left and bottom left corners, however. I tmight be more powerful without that. Btu the subject is indeed powerful- especially with our minds being so involved in this part of the world right now. Such lovely light! nicely sharp. I love that you can just see through to her headpiece. wonderful capture.

I love the way it appears the mother is looking straight at the camera - although the viewer can't see her eyes - while the kid stares off into space like many kids will do. Cheers!

This is a good photo, nicely handled lighting etc. What is strange or maybe this is the point, one person has their face covered! I guess this is a female, one that wants to hide. Little point having your portrait taken if the face is covered. I can see or perhaps it's a trick of lighting, an eye looking out and if that's an eye it belongs to a horribly deformed face. Well the kid looks normal anyway.

The lighting and clarity are superb. Also love the crop.
